Field Trips and Tours
Field trips
We love having students of all ages out on the farm! We can always find hands-on, age-appropriate activities for any group and tailor the experience to your specific interests. Our typical field trips are 2 hours and start with farm tour, then activity rotations focusing on farm work, art, the community, and the environment. Groups are welcome to bring lunch and picnic on the farm. Our suggested price for field trips is $9 per student (free for Title 1 schools!).
Tours
You are welcome to schedule a private tour with our staff to see the field up close and learn more in-depth about all of our operations and programs! Our suggested donation is $10 per person.
Denver Green School Community Farm is located at Denver Green School at 6700 E. Virginia Ave. Denver, CO 80224, near the playground at the school. We recommend this field trip for all students who want to learn about urban agriculture and see how much food can be grown on less than an acre! Jack’s Solar Garden is located at 8102 N. 95th St. Longmont, CO 80504, about 10 minutes south of Longmont. We recommend field trips for students high school age and older (due to safety around solar panels) to learn about solar farms and regenerative agriculture.
